Located in a low-slung Victorian warehouse with a pared-back industrial envelope, just East of Downtown, Avenue Road’s new home in Toronto offered a blank slate. A sense of discovery and intimacy in this wide-open 2,050 square meter space was thoughtfully articulated by Studio Sebastian Herkner, adding a playful, reconfigurable partitioning. With a nod to the brands’ beginnings, a gallery-like approach was taken, using risers to promote displays as installations or exhibitions.
