Marcel Wolterinck
Wolterinck, Marcel Wolterinck's eponymous studio, was founded on a need to create beauty. Using flowers and plants and a foundation in providing the decorations for large events, the company has developed into a multidisciplinary design bureau for interiors, exteriors and outdoor areas. From flying 11,000 tulips to the Dutch Embassy in Washington in celebration of the four-hundredth anniversary of the tulip to designing and furnishing houses and gardens: it has all been logical progression for Marcel Wolterinck. And just as logical as opening a furniture store in Laren, publishing coffee table books, travelling the world looking for interesting objects and new materials, and advising on art. However, Wolterinck is more than just Marcel Wolterinck. The company is formed by its team of passionate architects, designers, stylists and purchasers. Although no two Wolterinck designs are ever the same, you can see in all of them a subtle play of earthy colours and the use of elegant and mainly natural materials. And you’ll recognise Wolterinck designs through their mix of brands and balance of functionality and beauty.
